All vivid color services begin with a consultation so we can build the perfect color plan for your hair and lifestyle. A standalone consultation is $50 for 15 minutes, or $150 for 30 minutes with Sal, and the fee is credited in full toward any service or any product at Reverie within 30 days — so you leave with a written plan and the cost comes back to you.

Making vivid color last past week four

Vivid is the least forgiving color we do at home. These three are what your colorist sends you out with, and the order matters.

• Davines Minu Shampoo — $38.00. Sulfate-free, so it isn't stripping the pigment you just paid for. Wash in the coolest water you can stand — hot water opens the cuticle and vivids walk straight out of it.
• Davines Alchemic Red Conditioner — $40.00. This one puts pigment back instead of just slowing the fade, which is why it beats an ordinary conditioner for vivids. Red is one shade of several — ask your colorist which Alchemic shade matches what we put on you, because the wrong one will muddy it.
• K18 Leave-In Molecular Hair Mask — $75.00. Almost every vivid starts with lightening. This rebuilds what the lift broke, so your hair is still strong enough to take the next round of color in six weeks.
