Four Ways to Start
Our recommendation for a first visit
1. The New Client Reverie Experience — $400
Three and a half hours, built for one purpose: getting your hair right from the start rather than over three visits. It includes a dimensional colour or an all-over colour, a haircut, and your stylist's choice of shampoo and conditioner to take home — matched to what we actually did to your hair, not guessed at.
It also carries a 200-gram colour allotment, four times a regular allowance, which is the part that matters if your hair is long, dense, or coming back from something. Most first visits that go wrong go wrong because there wasn't enough colour in the bowl to finish the job properly.
Sitting with Sal is a different thing again — the New Client Reverie Experience with Sal is $1,000, and it's closer to a chef's table than ordering off a menu: he includes whatever he decides the hair needs. New clients only, either way.
2. The standalone consultation — if you're not sure what you need
Fifteen minutes for $50, or thirty minutes with Sal for $150 — and the fee comes back to you: it's credited in full toward any service or any product at Reverie within 30 days. (Extension consultations are $35 and include a written quote.) We look at your hair in person, talk through your history and goals, give you an honest recommendation with realistic timelines, and put the quote in writing before anything is booked. For color corrections and major transformations this step isn't optional — we need to see and feel your hair under proper lighting before we can quote the work accurately. The fee is forfeited only on a no-show or a cancellation inside 24 hours.
3. The Stylist Match quiz — if you're ready to book
Sixty seconds. The Stylist Match quiz pairs you with the specialist whose strength is your hair — curls to Marissa, precision bobs to Sydney, balayage and lived-in color to our NAHA-recognized color team. Cuts and blowouts can be booked directly, no consult needed.
4. The signature cut — if it's the shape that's wrong
The Bespoke Renewal Cut is Sal's 90-minute signature service: full consultation, precision cut, dry refinement, and a styling lesson so you can reproduce it at home. The most-booked first service for guests coming from another salon after a cut that "was fine, but wasn't right."
What Your First Visit Looks Like
Before you arrive: you'll get a confirmation text with parking notes and anything to bring. Inspiration photos help. Freshly washed hair isn't required — for curly cuts we'll tell you exactly how to arrive.
The consultation: every appointment starts with one, in the chair and at no extra charge, even if you've already come in for a standalone consultation. Face shape, density, growth patterns, how you style at home, what your hair has been through. Your quote is written before any scissors or color touch your hair.
The service: performed by a Kaizen-trained stylist. Cuts are refined dry, because wet hair lies. Color is formulated exclusively on Davines, the plant-based Italian B-Corp line we teach with internationally.
Before you leave: a styling walk-through — which products, which tools, in what order — so week three looks like day one. Your stylist will also tell you when your hair will actually need seeing again, and offer to hold that slot before you go; colour and precision shapes have a window where they still look like themselves, and it's easier to keep it than to catch it up later. What is the New Client Reverie Experience?
It's our first-visit package: $400 for roughly three and a half hours covering a dimensional or all-over colour, a haircut, and the shampoo and conditioner your stylist chooses for what we did — with a 200-gram colour allotment, four times a regular allowance. There's a $1,000 version with Sal. It's for new clients only, and it's what we'd recommend if you want the whole picture handled in one sitting rather than spread across three appointments.
Do I have to do the consultation first?
No — if you know what you want, take the quiz and book directly; every appointment includes a full consultation in the chair at no extra charge. The standalone consultation exists for guests who want eyes on their hair before committing, and it's required for color corrections and major restyles. More in our full FAQ.
How far out should I book?
Appointments typically book 1–2 weeks out depending on your choice of stylist; Sal's signature service books further out. Color corrections start with the consultation.
What if I've had a bad experience elsewhere?
That's most of our new clients. Bring photos of what happened and what you wanted — the consultation is where we map the honest path from one to the other, including when it takes more than one session.
