Marissa White is a creative and passionate hair stylist at Reverie Salon in River North, Chicago, specializing in color and curly hair. Since beginning her professional journey at the Douglas J Aveda Institute in Michigan in 2018, Marissa has dedicated herself to mastering her craft. She spent over 3 years training extensively under Reverie founder and 17-time NAHA finalist Sal Misseri — assisting him in the salon and traveling across North America, developing the skills to handle any and all color work, from root-to-tip blondes to complex multi-step corrections. She has also trained with Kaizen Education, Michael Polsinelli, and Ian Michael Black.

Training & Background

Marissa trained at the Douglas J Aveda Institute before moving to Chicago. Marissa's 3+ years of intensive training under Sal Misseri — working alongside him in the salon and on the road across North America — gave her a thorough grounding in the full spectrum of color work — formulation, corrective techniques, toning, and color theory. Sal trusted her to take on the same complex cases he handles himself. Combined with additional training from world-class educators, she brings a technical depth to color that goes well beyond most stylists at her career stage. She excels especially in bold color and curl work.
