Going blonde — and staying beautifully blonde — is one of the hardest things to do in hair color. It requires understanding lightening chemistry, tonal balance, and how to get maximum lift without sacrificing hair health. At Reverie, blonde is our bread and butter. Why blonde needs a specialist

Anyone can put bleach on hair. Not everyone can navigate the underlying pigment stages — orange, gold, yellow — and land on the exact shade of blonde you’re going for without causing damage. The difference between a client who leaves platinum and happy versus orange and crying is often about 5 minutes of processing time and an understanding of melanin that takes years to develop.

My 17 NAHA recognitions came largely from blonde work. Not easy blondes on naturally light hair — complex transformations where the starting point was dark and the margin for error was razor-thin. That’s the standard every colorist at Reverie is trained to.

Full & Partial Highlights — Foil highlights for maximum brightness and precision. The fastest path to very light blonde, and the best option for platinum goals. Partial from $165, full from $215.

Foilayage — Foils at the root for lift, blended into freehand balayage through the ends. Best of both techniques and our most-requested combination service. From $215.

Platinum & Bleach-and-Tone — For clients going all the way light. Bleach & tone starts at $240. This is multi-session work done carefully to maintain hair integrity. We use K18 during every lightening service for molecular repair.

Toning makes the blonde

Lifting gets you light. Toning gets you blonde. We include a toner with every single lightening service — it’s the step that neutralizes brassiness and dials in the exact shade. Icy platinum, buttery gold, sandy beige — that’s all toner work. We never skip it and we never charge extra for it.

Maintenance

Purple shampoo once a week. Deep conditioning regularly. Heat protectant always. And a realistic appointment schedule — balayage blondes refresh every 10–14 weeks with a gloss in between, foil highlight blondes every 6–10 weeks. A toner refresh between full appointments keeps things bright without redoing the whole service.
