Hair Salon Near Lincoln Park — Reverie Salon, River North
Let's be upfront: Reverie Salon isn't in Lincoln Park. We're at 300 W Grand Ave in River North, about ten to fifteen minutes south of you. But if you ride the Brown Line, we might as well be in your neighborhood — the train from Armitage, Fullerton, or Diversey runs directly to the Merchandise Mart with no transfer, and our door is a four-minute walk from the station. A meaningful share of our books has been making that trip for years.
Lincoln Park clients tend to fall into two camps, and we built our schedule around both. The first is the young professional crowd near Armitage and Halsted — people who want hair that looks polished at work on Monday and effortless at brunch on Saturday, without a maintenance routine that eats a weekend every six weeks. The second is families: parents juggling school pickups and DePaul-area schedules who need an appointment that starts on time, ends when we said it would, and grows out gracefully so the next visit isn't urgent. Our Tuesday-through-Thursday evenings (we're open until 8) and Saturday mornings from 9 exist largely for these two groups.
Color and cuts designed to go the distance
Reverie is led by Sal Misseri — 17× NAHA nominated and recognized, a three-time Hairstylist of the Year finalist, and a Davines Global Artist. Sal is known for dry and razor cutting: shapes planned before the first snip so the haircut actually improves as it grows, rather than falling apart at week four. That philosophy runs through the whole Kaizen-trained team of ten stylists, and it pairs naturally with the dimensional, hand-painted color work we're known for. The salon is exclusively Davines, from the color bowl to the retail shelf.
For busy Lincoln Park schedules, that translates to fewer appointments per year, not more. A lived-in balayage that softens as it grows means you can stretch to twelve or sixteen weeks without a hard line. A precision cut with a planned shape means the awkward phase mostly disappears.
Getting here from Lincoln Park
- By train: Brown Line from Armitage, Fullerton, or Diversey straight to the Merchandise Mart station — roughly 12 to 18 minutes, no transfer. The salon is about a four-minute walk from the platform.
- By car: Wells or LaSalle south, usually 10 to 15 minutes outside rush hour. There's metered street parking on Grand and Franklin, plus several paid garages within two blocks if the meters are full.
- Other options: the Red Line Grand stop at State Street is about a ten-minute walk, and the CTA #65 Grand bus stops steps from our door.
What Lincoln Park guests book most
The appointments that come down from your neighborhood most often:
- Balayage — hand-painted dimension built to grow out softly. Partial dimensional color from $165, full from $215.
- Precision haircuts — cuts from $80 (short), $95 (medium), $110 (long), priced by length, never by gender.
- Gray blending — popular with clients who want to soften the line without committing to full coverage.
- Custom color — for anyone who's struck out on color closer to home and wants a colorist with a real plan.
- Hand-tied extensions — installs from $300 plus the cost of hair, with proper color matching.
- New client info — what to expect on a first visit.

Lincoln Park FAQ
Is Reverie Salon in Lincoln Park?
No — we're in River North, at Grand and Franklin. We serve a lot of Lincoln Park clients because the Brown Line makes the trip a one-seat ride, but we'd never pretend to be a neighborhood storefront. We're the short trip south.
What's the easiest way to get there from Lincoln Park?
The Brown Line, almost every time. Board at Armitage, Fullerton, or Diversey, get off at Merchandise Mart, and walk four minutes. Driving via Wells or LaSalle takes 10–15 minutes with metered parking on Grand and Franklin.
Do you take new clients from Lincoln Park?
Yes, and the free consultation is the best starting point — especially for color, where we'll map out a realistic plan and quote before anything touches your hair.
Can I get an appointment after work?
Tuesday through Thursday we're open until 8 PM, which works well for the after-office crowd coming down on the Brown Line.
